GNation, a community for the world’s 2.4 billion gamers and an alliance of gaming and technology companies, today announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft to leverage Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform for development, blockchain, and identity solutions.
As part of the GNation Alliance, Microsoft is investing resources and expertise through its Startup Accelerator Program to support GNation’s go-to-market strategy, bringing new and enhanced capabilities to the GNation’s ecosystem.
“As the leading cloud provider across a number of globally scalable and secure solutions, Microsoft is well positioned to help GNation reach 2.4 billion people and provide the always-on experiences that consumers expect,” said Tereza Nemessanyi, Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Microsoft who leads incubation of companies in strategic industries.
“We are also very excited by GNation’s focus on Women in STEM and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals as part of GNation’s mission. Microsoft’s commitment to STEM and encouraging young women to pursue STEM careers and interests is core to our DNA, and we really applaud GNation’s focus on and support of the UN’s 17 SDGs.”
The United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals to Transform Our World features a wide variety of initiatives, and GNation is partnering with the UN to help fulfil them. Along with its allies, GNation is working to create an ecosystem where gamers of all types can have fun playing games, and help make the world a better place.
“GNation is poised to bring real change to the gaming industry, and through that to the real world. We are going to build the largest humanitarian power on Earth, where every gamer can become a charity organization themselves,” said Sergey Sholom, Founder of GNation. “We believe we are bringing something very innovative to the table, and this recognition from Microsoft validates our approach and boosts our confidence as we pursue creative new strategies and technologies.”
