VeChain was selected as the NTT Docomo “5G Program” partner of Japan’s largest mobile communication company

NTT today announced the “5G Plan” cooperation list for the next generation of mobile communication systems. In this open partnership program, VeChain was selected as a global public chain participant.

By participating in NTT’s “5G Program”, VeChain will work with NTT to develop the blockchain project “VeChainThor” to enhance and extend the traceability of existing customer services, supply chain management and smartphone application services. Although no specific details have been disclosed yet, the chain’s researcher in Japan interviewed the relevant person in charge of VeChain.

“VeChain is in the process of negotiating with Japan’s representative traditional industry customers by adopting our technology and NTT’s brand capabilities. The combination of a pan-network system and a 5G communication environment, we believe that VeChain’s blockchain technology will provide a significant leap in service, and Vechain will provide Japanese customers with more reliable traceability services.”

About NTT and the “5G Plan”

Founded in 1991, NTT Docomo is Japan’s largest mobile telecommunications operator, with market capitalization second only to Toyota. By the end of March 2018, domestic mobile phone subscriptions accounted for 45.3% of the total.

This 5G project was launched in February 2018. It aims to provide 5G communication system in the year of the Tokyo Olympic Games, which will provide services for enterprises, such as VR / AR technology, to provide live broadcast services for Olympic Games. It is reported that NTT is known. It will also use a cloud service and IoT technology to develop services in autonomous driving and smart lifestyles.

NTT will also conduct technical validation of the 5G communication environment and seminars to provide new opportunities for participating partners.
